Title: "Molecular Approaches to Nanoscale Magnets"

Tutor: Prof. Andrea CORNIA (acornia@unimore.it)

Description: A current fundamental and technological goal is the design of Molecular Nanomagnets (MNs) exhibiting a memory effect in a manageable temperature (T) range [1]. The proposed research activity takes up the challenge of using metal-metal bonds to assemble MNs with a well-isolated high-spin state even at room T [2]. Techniques: inorganic/organic/organometallic synthesis, mass spectrometries, XRD, magnetic measurements.
